Getting our backer reward characters right has been a bit tricky. In this case, the backer sent us a picture of him in a black coat, light pants, dark top – so this is how we transformed him into a Boxian. Is it precise? Well, no, because Boxians lack important things like… noses, or mouths, or legs for that matter. Noir doesn’t include a concept of t-shirts, either. But hopefully, he’s able to see enough there to have the lightbulb go off in his head.
This isn’t an area that’ll be in the final game, or at least not a whole area – it was me experimenting with bashing tilesets into eachother. This is our Old World tileset alongside our Industrial tileset, which gives the impression of an industrialized portion of Old World. Kinda neat! (Ignore that programmer art light sconce though)
